Gafar Rzayev (b. 1993, Ganja) In 2017–2018, participated in the group exhibitions organized by the ARTIM Lab studio program. The artist is a participant in various projects and exhibitions: “The story of the boy with the white bed” project (Zaratan Air, Lisbon, Portugal, 2023); “I can look at infinity (or behind my own eyelids)” online exhibition (YARAT Centre, 2020); “Capsula” online exhibition (Mexico, 2020); “Calling from a distance” online exhibition (Emergent Art Space, USA, 2020), etc. Currently, Gafar Rzayev is engaged in painting, conceptual art, and graphic design. The artist is often inspired by the history and culture of Azerbaijan and tells the stories of the people and different places that surround him in his works, and he also conducts research on the archaic-modern nature of Azerbaijani society in his work.
