CHINGIZ



CHINGIZ (Chingiz Babayev, b. 1964, Baku) – sculptor, painter, designer, theorist, poet, and philosopher. He combines fine art, graphics, sculpture, collage, street art, installation, performance, video art, and other media to study the application of different ideas. CHINGIZ's oeuvre is showcased in the Baku Museum of Modern Art, Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum, and the Vahid Kooros collection, as well as kept in private and public collections across Russia, Ukraine, Vietnam, the USA, the UK, Austria, Italy, Estonia, France, Poland, Finland, Norway, Switzerland, the Dominican Republic, Kyrgyzstan, and Iran. The artist exhibited an individual exhibition titled “İNSƏN” at the YARAT Centre in 2022. His works were also exhibited in the group exhibitions: “Exhibition Carpet Art: The Evolution of Meanings” (Carpet Museum, Baku; Kazan, Tatarstan (RF) 2021); “Make an island for yourself” (XX-XXI Century Painting Museum, 2021).
